An unlikely friendship
The arrival late last week of Clover, a severely underweight sheep and Big Foot, one of the recently rescued chickens, comes an unlikely bond. Unable to stand on arrival at Edgar’s Mission, Clover was fearful and in need of a good friend. Big Foot, experiencing life beyond a cage for the first time, greeted Clover like a long lost friend. When Big Foot was gently picked up to be moved from the stable to make room for Clover, the ewe became quite agitated so much so that it was only the return of her feathered buddy that she settled down and tucked back into her hay.
With little in common Clover and Big Foot’s unusual friendship shows that animals, just like us need the warmth and closeness that only comes from a good friend.- Edgars Mission
